Gun Owners of America endorses Wayne Parker for his “unwavering support of the Constitution”

Florence, AL - Republican Congressional Candidate for the Fifth Congressional District (AL-05) Wayne Parker was endorsed by the Gun Owners of America this week. With over 300,000 members nationwide, GOA is one of the leading advocates for rights of gun owners in the U.S. Parker announced the endorsement during the Quad-Cities Gun and Knife Show in Florence on Saturday, October 25th.

Brent Oliver, owner of the gun and knife company hosting the expo, Valley Productions, Inc., was on hand to read the Gun Owners of America announcement.

“Alabama sportsmen and gun owners need a reliable Second Amendment advocate to represent them in this district,” Oliver stated. “Gun Owners of America has given Wayne Parker an “A” rating and endorsed him for the 5th Congressional District Seat because of his unwavering support of the Constitution,”

“We need representatives who will fight to defend our liberties against the radical anti-gun leadership in the House of Representatives,” Oliver continued. “As a sportsman and a gun enthusiast, I feel confident in Wayne Parker’s ability to do just that.”

Addressing the crowd, Wayne Parker referenced Democrat Presidential nominee Barack Obama’s notorious statement.

“It’s great to be with such a fine group of God-fearing, gun-clinging Americans,” Parker stated.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Gun Owners of America,” Parker stated. “I’ve always been a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms. North Alabama gun owners and sportsmen need to know their liberties are being protected in Washington. I look forward to being an advocate for them.”

“This summer’s Supreme Court decision was a major victory for individual gun ownership, but that doesn’t mean we can let down our guard,” Parker stated. “There is sure to be legislation that challenges that decision on every level. I will be there to stand up for their rights during that process.”

Wayne Parker also received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, when the group endorsed his candidacy in the Republican primary earlier this year
