President Bush Coming to Huntsville for fundraiser
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - President Bush will be in Huntsville on Sept. 18 to attend at private fundraiser for two congressional candidates.
The midmorning fundraiser will be at the home of Huntsville businessman Moss Crosby and his wife Leslie. According to the invitations, it will cost $1,000 to attend, but a $10,000 donation will get a photo with the president.
The fundraiser will benefit the campaigns of Wayne Parker of Huntsville in the 5th Congressional District and Jay Love of Montgomery in the 2nd Congressional District.
Love says it will be a boost to the campaigns because Bush is still popular in Alabama and people realize he’s done a good job of keeping the country safe since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
