The Tennessee Valley’s best value in music entertainment continues to expand its all-star line up of performers as the second wave of acts are announced for Big Spring Jam XVI. The region’s premiere music festival celebrates its 16th anniversary as it returns September 26th – 28th to Big Spring International Park in downtown Huntsville.

Classic rock legends Kansas and .38 Special join the impressive roster of Jam XVI acts along with The Guess Who and Three Dog Night. Edwin McCain is set to perform crowd favorites like “I’ll be” and alternative rock group Hinder will set the Jam stage on fire as they sing their hit single “Lips of an Angel”. In addition, Hootie and the Blowfish fans will welcome the group’s lead singer Darius Rucker as he makes a return to Big Spring Jam. These recently added acts are just a few of the Jam’s strong line up of over 45 talented and diverse performers.

Previously announced acts that will also be showcased at Big Spring Jam XVI include T-Pain, Kenny Rogers, Buckcherry, Styx and Mercy Me. In addition, the Jam boasts a weekend full of other top music industry performers including John Rich, Cowboy Troy, and Gretchen Wilson of Nashville’s MusikMafia, Avenged Sevenfold, Shinedown, Lee Greenwood, and BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet. Saving Abel, Joe Nichols, Sister Hazel, Eric Church, Chris Cagle, Tantric, Blake Shelton and Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ will also light up the September skies at Big Spring Jam XVI.

Tickets for the festival are available now for purchase via www.bigspringjam.org. Three-Day Passes are $45. Individual Day Passes can be purchased in advance for $25 online at www.bigspringjam.org and at the gate for $30. There is a limited amount of Jam Fan Weekend passes available for $60 each which allow Jam Fan ticket holders to enter the gates 30 minutes before the rest of the crowd.

There are numerous corporate ticket outlets to be announced and the Jam encourages other companies throughout North Alabama and Southern Tennessee to support the event by becoming a ticket outlet. Interested companies should contact the Big Spring Jam Ticket Office at (256) 551-2209.

Fans can keep updated with the latest Jam news by going to the festival web site www.bigspringjam.org. Fans can register to receive instant news blasts via e-mail as well as qualify to win free Jam tickets and “meet and greet” opportunities with Jam artists.

We are receiving telephone calls about the Big Spring Jam 5K. We have not sponsored the BS Jam 5K the past two years and do not plan to have the race this year as well because of budget cuts. I have checked your web site and do not see any reference to the race. I can only assume citizen have an old link to the festival saved on their computer. Not sure what is happening. But people who call our office, tell us the race information is on http://www.huntsvillepr.com thanks, Lou
