As I write this to you today a smile comes across my face because of the sense of peace I feel on this gorgeous spring afternoon. All around us it seems like the world is reeling out of control. We’re in a contested presidential race for what I feel is one of the most important races of my generation, gas prices are so high it’s almost funny (not really I could use a few other choice words but shall refrain), devastation in various countries from natural disasters, and we’re still in this war in Iraq. Some may wonder how can I feel at peace.
Well I’m sure you know the answer already, but just in case some of you may feel I have a secret formula…my God, who supplies all my needs and loves me more than anybody keeps me sane and in my right mind and reminds me that He’s got this! No need for me to fret or get dismayed. I am so blessed that God puts special people in my life to remind me of that and he did that for me today at my doctor’s office. She, in all her wisdom told me to let it go! Let go of the guilt, let go of what ever it is that’s keeping me from being well so that I can be well for my boys because they need their mother. She doesn’t know what she did for me, but I’m letting you know that there is something to that peace that passeth all understanding.
Ok, there’s a lot to cover in this newsletter, so I’ll stop rattling on here and get too it.
On a more serious note, last year during our candlelight session there were women present who indicated a need, a need that prayer could help. I want to remind you that we are still to lift those women up during our prayer time and solicit the help of the Almighty to intervene on their behalf.
Be Blessed!
