Women’s Business Center of North Alabama
Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) is a product of our
visionary, the late Diane Weston, whose legacy includes being the President of
Uwohali, Inc., and the co-founder of the Women’s Economic Development Council.
Based on her personal experience of starting a business, Diane had the vision
that North Alabama needed a place for women to receive nurturing in order to
start or grow a business. She activated that vision by asking the Women’s
Business Council of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce to
organize the Women’s Business Center and Elaine Plank served as the Chair of
the Steering Committee that made Diane’s dream a reality.
